How and when did you get started into Bonsai?

I got started on bonsai 4 years ago, i always wanted to have
a bonsai, but once i got my first one and killed by negligence, i decided to learn and educate my self about
the beautifull art of bonsai.

 

Who or what has had an influence on you and your gardening?

Japanese masters for they awesome tecniques

Chinese Elm

 

How many do you currently have?

Do you have a favorite bonsai?

Yes, my favorite tree is my Ficus Nerifolia, because it's
very easy to work on and very rewarding. I get to see results in a very short period of time

 

How much time each week do you spend bonsai gardening?

During spring and summer about 8 hours a week, and autumn- winter about 2-3 hours a week.

 

What is your favorite gardening tool?

I love all the tools, but my favorite is a round concave cutter.

 

Where do you purchase your bonsai?

Different bonsai nurseries here in south florida.

 

Do you have a favorite online bonsai website we should know about?

Bonsai4me.com they have lots of information and before and
after of bonsai wich i love.

 

Do you have a favorite bonsai book?

Yes, Growing Bonsai a practical encyclopedia. Great info
and beautiful pics.

 

What bonsai would you like to add to your collection next?

A Japanese black pine and a Maple, but i will need more room...

 

What tip or trick can you share with other bonsai enthusiasts?

I guess is more of a suggestion. Don't be afraid of experiment with your trees, that's the only way to learn and get creative.

I'm new in bonsai and I buy a Ficus bonsai in a Chinese store 3 months ago the tree is very healthy but I want to know what soil or fertilizer i have to buy and how often use?
